The Child-Responsive Room Planner

Privacy notice

This notice explains what information is used when you visit the planner, join the email list, make a payment or allow advertising measurement.

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Who is responsible

The data controller is The Childhood Space, founded by Teama (Fatemeh) Sadeghi. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@thechildhoodspace.com.

Your room-planner answers

Your questionnaire answers are stored in your browser on the device you use. They are used to build your personalised room plan. They are not sent to The Childhood Space, Stripe or Payhip, and the planner does not ask for a child’s name, date of birth or photograph.

You can remove the saved answers by choosing Start again in the planner and confirming the message.

Email subscriptions

If you join the list, we collect your email address, your consent and the part of the planner where you subscribed. We use this information to send occasional room ideas, guide news and carefully chosen updates. The lawful basis is your consent.

A notification is sent through Web3Forms and the subscription is stored in the planner’s secure site database. We keep it until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it or the list is closed. Every marketing email will offer a way to unsubscribe.

Payment and access

Stripe processes the direct checkout and handles payment details. Payhip may remain available as a temporary fallback while the direct checkout is being connected. The Childhood Space does not receive your full card or bank details. The payment provider gives us the order information needed to confirm access and support your purchase.

After a Stripe payment, the planner checks the secure checkout reference and opens the plan automatically. If Payhip is used, the planner checks the licence key from your receipt. The verified access reference is stored in your browser so you can reopen the plan. It is not used to create a profile of your child.

Cookies and advertising measurement

The planner uses essential browser storage to save answers, access and privacy choices. If you choose Allow measurement, Meta Pixel may receive a page visit, questionnaire-start, plan-offer, checkout-start and, after valid access is confirmed, purchase event. Purchase and checkout events include the product value and GBP currency. This helps us understand where an advertisement journey is working or being abandoned.

Meta measurement does not load before you allow it. You can reject it and still use or buy the planner. Use the Privacy choices button to change your choice. Meta processes information under its own privacy policy.

Service providers and transfers

We use service providers to host the planner, send signup notifications, store subscriptions, process payments and, with permission, measure advertising. These currently include OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure, Web3Forms, Stripe, Payhip and Meta. Some providers may process information outside the UK and must use appropriate safeguards where required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive your personal information, or object to its use. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at the email above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children’s information

This product is for adults making decisions about a child’s room. Please do not enter a child’s name, photograph, date of birth, health information or other identifying details into the planner or support emails.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice when the planner or its providers change. The date above will show the latest version. Questions can be sent to hello@thechildhoodspace.com.
